The organisers regret to advise the postponement of the Mekong Mining Policy Forum 2010, scheduled for September 9-10.
The decision was taken, in consideration of the scheduling conflicts which would prevent the Ministers responsible for the sector from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam from attendance.
Proceeding without the requisite Ministerial participation would significantly adversely affect the quality of the debate and discussion on the key policy issues required to sustainably develop the region’s mineral resources.
The decision was taken following consultation with sponsors, supporters and stakeholders in the interests of all participants.
The new dates have yet to be determined.
